The best-smelling carpet solution I've tried...

I have cats with litterbox issues and use my carpet cleaner almost daily. I've tried lots of different carpet cleaning formulas - Bissell, Hoover, and several store brands - and generally prefer Bissell formulas, even though my current cleaner of choice is a Hoover. This particular formula, like all the other Bissell solutions I've tried, does a very good job of general cleaning, as well as a decent job of removing pet stains and odor. Better yet, it has a really nice, light floral scent - I'd say cherry blossom, if I had to give it a name - that doesn't make your whole house smell like you just cleaned the carpets.
This product is definitely pricey, but I feel that you can get away with using much, much less than the manufacturer recommends. I use an ounce or less of formula per gallon of water and still get great results. Amazon's prices for carpet solutions go up and down substantially... sometimes they are lower than I can find locally, and sometimes higher, so be sure to price compare and watch for a sale for the best value.

Works great, but the Fabreze scent doesn't last

Works great. Seems to get tough stains out right away. I had some pretty dark spots on my white rugs from my kids I used it on. Usually, with spots that dark, I pre-treat it with spot remover. But this time, to test this, I didn't use it. I cleaned just going over the area in a normal way and all spots come out completely. I only zapped a couple of small spots with my machine's spot cleaner tool. However, the Fabreze scent is only noticeable when you are cleaning. I came back after the rug dried to see if I could detect any Fabreze scent, but couldn't. I even used the steam cleaner hand tool on my pillow and bed! Nothing. Still, it does the job with only a cap full a tank. Will last me for a while.

Does a good job getting it clean & smells pleasant without being overpowering.

While I didn't quite get the cleaning results I was hoping for (I'm sure it's that my cleaner isn't as great as it could be and not this product) I was overall pleased with it.
It's easy to use, isn't so strongly scented you're smelling it for days and gets the job done. I didn't think I was going to care about the 'Frebreze Freshness' factor but I actually really liked it. Definitely made doing a chore I hate—I swear I clean my living room carpet at least once a week thanks to kids and pets—much more pleasant to do. I will definitely keep this on my list of cleaning products to repurchase when it runs out.
